The Conference venue is the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, superbly situated in the Darling Harbour Precinct of Sydney. The Powerhouse Museum, Sydney is only a short walk from Sydney's major shopping and business districts and affords dramatic views of the Sydney city skyline.
The Powerhouse Museum, Australia's largest and most popular museum, is located in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Its unique and diverse collection of 385,000 objects spans history, science, technology, design, industry, decorative arts, music, transport and space exploration and so makes for a most appropriate host of the Australian Small Bridges Conference.
Conference sessions will be in the Coles Theatre and the Conference Exhibition in the Powerhouse Learning centre which is adjacent to the Theatre.

The Museum is well serviced by public transport. Catch a bus or a taxi - take a train or arrive by boat - whatever your choice.
The Powerhouse Museum is close to Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Central Station (Sydney Terminal), Broadway bus station (Railway Square), and Paddy's Markets Monorail Station.

Train and bus
Search for the quickest route using the Transport Infoline website. You can enter 'Powerhouse Museum' as the destination.
Central Station is the closest railway station to the Powerhouse Museum. From Central Station take the eastern exits to Railway Square/George Street. Turn left at Railway Square and walk to Harris Street which is on the right. Monorail
The monorail operates through the Sydney CBD and Darling Harbour, running every 3–5 minutes from 7am-11pm.. You can get off the monorail at Paddy’s Market Station and walk up the steps and over the foot bridge to the Powerhouse Museum. Ferries
If your accommodation is close to Parramatta, Woolwich, Birkenhead Point, Darling Harbour, Pyrmont Bay, Neutral Bay, Mosman Bay, Watsons Bay, Taronga Zoo or Manly you can catch a ferry direct to Circular Quay. Lightrail

From the city
Catch any bus travelling south on George Street. Get off at Hay St and walk for 5-10 minutes past Paddy’s Market, up the steps and over the walkway to the Museum.
From Central Station
Central Station is the closest railway station to the Powerhouse Museum. From Central Station take the eastern exits to Railway Square/George Street. Turn left into George Street and then right into Harris Street. Walk down Harris Street for 5-10 minutes until you reach the Museum on your right.
From Circular Quay
Walk to Circular Quay bus stand C. All buses that stop here travel down George Street. Ask for the Hay St stop which should take about 15-20 minutes to reach. From Hay St walk post Paddy’s Market, up the steps and over the walkway to the Museum.
From the Airport
The Airport Link provides a direct link from the airport to the following stations in the city centre: Central, Museum, St James, Circular Quay, Wynyard and Town Hall.

Parking
Parking for the Powerhouse Museum (06:00 to 24:00) is available at the Entertainment Centre Car Park on Darling Drive. The Level 3A RED parking area is the most convenient to the covered walkway connecting the parking station to the Museum (2 minutes’ walk). When tickets are validated at the Museum by Conference Delegates, a special flat rate of $11.50 (including GST) applies.
You can park all day (until midnight), Bring your car park ticket to the admissions counter in the Museum for validation to receive the discount when you pay at the carpark.

Delegates' directions on arrival at Powerhouse Museum:
On arrival at the Powerhouse Museum, enter through main doors on Forecourt adjoining Harris Street. A PHM Gallery Officer will be on duty in the Grand Foyer to direct delegates to the ramp in the NW corner which leads to the level 3 Theatres, Registration and Exhibition area. A cloaking service operates in the Grand Foyer from 10:00 to 17:00. Entry to the museum is free for all delegates and exhibitors.
From 10:00 to 17:00 delegates will have access to all public areas of the Museum (with the exception of special exhibitions with an admission charge in addition to normal Museum entry fees)
