The 6th Roads Australia annual Summit is the peak annual gathering for the major stakeholders in Australia’s road industry and our 2008 Summit drew over 150 senior delegates
Roads Australia Membership comprises the key players in road transport, including major industry associations, road authorities, road contractors and consultants, material and equipment suppliers, and toll-road operators amongst others.

This Summit will attract the executive staff of the major roading organisations in Australia.

This strategic-level Summit will focus on the key issues in the financing, development, provision and operation of road infrastructure, and will include presentations from government organisations, infrastructure owners, consultants and road user organisations.

The Summit is being conducted at the Novotel Brighton Beach, Sydney.
This sixth Summit will attract the executive staff of the major roading organizations in Australia. This is not a practitioner level conference but rather attracts staff at the highest level; the key decision-makers. As such it provides an ideal avenue for companies wishing to maximise their sponsorship opportunities at this peak level.
Dinner SOLD OUT
The prestigious 2009 John Shaw Award and Dinner will be held on the first night of the Summit. The medal is awarded by Roads Australia and is selected by a peer group of former winners. His Excellency Dr Ken Michael AC, Governor of Western Australia, was the 2007 recipient and Colin Jordan in 2008.
The medal has a long history and is seen as one of the most significant achievements in the Australian road transport sector. The selection panel comprises the previous winners of the medal.
Roads Australia calls for nominations each year for the award of the John Shaw Medal which recognises outstanding industry service. Nominations close on 30 March each year, and the Medal is presented at the Roads Australia Summit annual dinner.
The Hon Nick Greiner AC - Chairman Bilfinger Berger Australia
We are delighted to announce that the the Hon Nick Greiner AC, Chairman of Bilfinger Berger Australia Pty Ltd will be the guest speaker of our John Shaw Dinner for 2009.
Nick is also Chairman of Bradken Limited, Citigroup Australia, Deputy Chairman of Stockland Trust Group and a Director of a number of other private groups.
Nick was Premier and Treasurer of New South Wales from 1988 - 1992.
He holds an Honours Degree in Economics from Sydney University and a Master of Business Administration with High Distinction from Harvard Business School.
In the Queen's Birthday Honours List of 1994 he was award a Companiion of the Order of Australia for public sector reform and management and services to the community.
